Computers

A computer is an electronic device that can be programmed to carry out logical operations. It consists of 3 elements, central processing unit (CPU), memory and peripherals. Originally they were large in the size, but now come in compact sizes i.e. as personal computers. Charles Babbage (who is known as the father of the computer), a mechanical engineer originated the concept of the programmable computer in early 19th century. He made difference engines and designed aid to navigation calculations in 1833. His son, Henry also designed a computing unit in 1888 and demonstrated its use in computing tables in 1906.
